The Presentation

Heroes and content slides in the LA voice. HTML-native, projected delivery.

Live spec

When to use it

  • Workshop facilitation with projected slides.
  • Keynote talks using a slide-led structure.
  • Client presentations at board level.
  • Strategy reveals with full-bleed imagery.

When NOT to use it

  • Documents that will be printed or signed · use the Word Document (12).
  • Standalone reads · use the Web Brief (11).
  • Detailed reference content · slides aren't reference docs.

When this format is right

If a human is going to speak alongside it, in front of an audience · it's a Presentation. Slides support a voice, they don't replace one.

Canonical reference

GHD Strategic Workshop HTML · canonical reference for the hero + content slide pattern.

Tooling

Built as HTML/CSS, presents from any browser. No PowerPoint.

Slide types

  • Hero slide · full-bleed image + serif title overlay
  • Content slide · glass card with text content
  • Transition slide · quiet pause between sections

Navigation

Arrow keys advance; ESC for slide overview. Full-screen mode for delivery.

The DNA

Full-bleed photography sets the emotional weight. Glass card overlays do the work. Same navy + gold + cream palette. Cormorant Garamond for titles.

The Anatomy

Hero slide · image fills, title in lower third in Cormorant.

Content slide · image fills, glass card centred or right, body content in Tenor Sans.

Section transition · near-black slide with single line of gold metadata.

Voice rules

  1. One thought per slide.
  2. The image carries half the meaning. Choose deliberately.
  3. No bullet lists. Sentences only on content slides.
  4. Section transitions are silences. Let them breathe.

Production checklist

  1. Image quality and license clean
  2. Glass card contrast passes
  3. Speaker notes drafted (if relevant)
  4. Keyboard nav tested
  5. Filename pattern: LockwoodAdvisory_[Client]_[Topic]_Presentation.html
